Trying to reach us?
The “we” on our website generally refers to us, Liesl and Rebecca. We also have a team of volunteer librarians and a tech team who help us with the many inquiries that come our way. We also respond to media inquiries, and are especially happy to connect journalists to Buy Nothing communities where each story is being produced. You can reach us about these subjects via our Help Center. We ask that you first try to look up your question to see if we have it in our FAQs, as that will save us time if you can find your answers right there. Failing that, please feel free to reach out to us at http://help.buynothingproject.org/contact.
This website functions as a public library, offering the world freely-given resources that can be used to create, sustain, improve, and understand gift economies on any platform, online and offline, anywhere in the world.
There is also a team of Buy Nothing Project volunteers who maintain our worldwide list of gift economy communities. You can reach this team via this List Your Gift Economy form.
Important Note: All issues pertaining to local Buy Nothing Facebook group rule changes, leadership, members, and the like need to be brought directly to those groups. The Buy Nothing Project acts as a resource for people around the world who want to set up their own gift economy communities, but these communities are all locally created and managed. Local community leaders are solely responsible for what happens in their communities. If you have an issue that can’t be resolved, we encourage you to join us in building equitable sharing communities through the new BuyNothing app.
Yours in Buying Nothing,
Liesl Clark & Rebecca Rockefeller, Buy Nothing Project Co-Founders
